I'm also against people scanlating fanarts WITHOUT asking the original fanartist's permission >=(
A lot of times the scanlation (since it's in English) gets way more notes/views/Internet points/what-have-you than the original art post.

Just watched a local performance of Billy Elliot yesterday. The 13-y.o. playing Billy is Philipp Mergener, and he’s been doing ballet since he was four.

I love some of the additions the musical made (compared to the movie):
- The mum’s letter
- Grandma’s song
- Dream dance sequence with older Billy
[SPOILERS kinda]
- What his dad decided to do after he confronted the dance teacher and went “He’s my son. He’s my responsibility.”

“No one can give what I can give him.” *is slayed*

I don’t like musical!Michael as much as movie!Michael. Also, nothing can beat movie!Billy’s angry dance. The musical angry dance feels contrived and therefore doesn’t have as much impact…

This local performance doesn’t employ enough pauses to build anticipation. But I guess they already clock at 2 hrs 30 minutes and didn’t want to make it longer?

Or, that beautiful epic music students AU that made me cry. (It does have a happy ending!) Heaven Farms isn't "religious" per se, so Castiel did not have any self-flagellation re: his feelings for Dean.

You can enjoy this fic even with zero SPN knowledge; I did. I liked Zachariah in this fic because I had zero knowledge of canon!Zachariah.

"You are cooking tomatoes," Castiel said. "Did I interrupt your canning?" He said it like it was a perfectly ordinary thing to do.

"Kind of," Dean said. "I haven't gotten anything in cans yet."

He'd told this guy he canned tomatoes. What on Earth. Castiel, with his slightly just out of time clothes, looked at what he could see of the rooms and the staircase leading straight up just before the door.

"This house has love in its walls," Castiel said. "It's a very good house."

Am not in Teen Wolf fandom anymore (still have one WiP though). I was reading a lot of Dean/Castiel*** there for awhile, then got sidetracked with some Steve/Bucky and Steve/Tony. asdDSnjdsgkjaskncmca this fic (WiP) is so epic and so tragic:

I had the super-low goal of pronouncing French loan words correctly, and reading Le Petit Prince out loud. Before this course, the only French phrase I knew was “omelette du fromage*” X-D

Two more days (a chapter quiz and final exam) and I'm done. Possibly the last language class I'll ever take at the university. I ran out of money/education award, for one thing... The award didn't even cover 4 credits, hahah, so everything else was out of pocket (building maintenance, campus beautification, etc).

I rented the textbook from Amazon, but was forced to shell out $80~ for the "lab" portion of the course. What’s wrong with good old CDs, people?? College tuition in the U.S. is unreasonably expensive =__= even compared to just a decade ago (which was when I graduated).

This is my second time participating in camelotremix. I hope we'll both have fun! =D

My Merlin fic were written during S1-S3. Don't feel constrained by my interpretation of canon, and don't worry about incorporating S3-S5 canon.

Feel free to canon-ize my AU fics* (I wrote lots of AU!). If you want to reincarnate everyone, or revisit the S1 golden age of Arthur/Merlin/Gwen/Morgana OT4, be my guest!

I love slash and gen, and also read the occasional het and femmeslash. As long as it's not Uther/Arthur or Merlin/Gaius, pretty much anything goes.

If you want to make a slashfic gen or a genfic slash, go ahead. I don't mind Arthur/Gwen, although I do prefer Lancelot/Gwen (and Merlin/Morgana) for my hetship. I also like Arthur/Merlin/[insert anyone except Uther or Gaius].
